How we calculate it

Ad budget
Visits needed = orders ÷ conversion rate. Budget = visits × cost per click. Cost per order = budget ÷ orders.
ROAS
ROAS = sales from ads ÷ ad spend. A ROAS of 4 means SAR 4 in sales for every SAR 1 of ads.
Break-even
Break-even ROAS = 1 ÷ gross margin. At a 35% margin you need a ROAS of about 2.86 not to lose money. Anything above is profit, anything below is a loss.
Max cost per order
Break-even cost = order value × margin. The highest cost that meets your target = break-even cost − the profit you want per order.

The calculators give you an estimate to plan with; the actual result varies with the platform, the season, and the quality of the ad and the store. Platform numbers may also differ from your actual sales because of tracking, so always compare with your store’s numbers.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a good ROAS?

There’s no single number for everyone. A good ROAS is one above your break-even point, and that depends on your margin: at a 50% margin, 2 is enough; at 25%, you need 4.

Where do I get my conversion rate and cost per click?

The conversion rate from your store reports or Google Analytics (orders ÷ visits), and the cost per click from the ad platform’s dashboard. If you don’t have data yet, start with a conservative estimate and update it after the first two weeks.

Does the margin include the ad cost?

No. The margin here is what’s left after product cost, shipping and payment fees, before ads. The calculator subtracts the ads afterwards.

Are the tools free, and do you store my numbers?

Completely free, with no sign-up. The calculation runs in your browser, and we don’t store your numbers unless you send them to us yourself on WhatsApp.
